Words are everywhere
Don't drown them out. Open your eyes and read the words you find

On the street

These are pictures of words I found in various countries, on all kinds of streets in cities and towns. Each time I find words on the street, the place where I found them feels a less isolating. In these spots I see the mark of someone else who walked this same path and wanted me and you and anyone else here to know what they had to say.
The next time you go for a walk, try not to put your blinders up. Instead, look around and enjoy the messages strangers have left for you. The words you find may be a funny comment, a shout into the void, a tip, or someone's legacy.

On the Wall
Graffiti is made even more interesting when it is done in a hidden place. Isn't the purpose of graffit expression?
Not necessarily.
When I find messages scrawled on a wall it feels like I've stepped into another person's skin. It's a public diary entry, something whispered in an empty room which then echos long after the speaker leaves.
Sometimes the message feels like it's written just for you. Like this person passed you a note when no one was looking.
What all of these messages have in common is that this is where we say what we're too afraid to say in public, but that is still so important, gnawing away inside us, that we need to say it somehow.
